2. Summary

Release 0.6.1 is a security patch for 0.6.0. It updates the bundled certifi CA bundle after the emSign root CA was removed because of a CA private-key compromise (see more details). It has no functional changes. Features, API-key permission changes and compatibility notes are the same as in ADA v0.6.0.

3. Security

• certifi is updated from 2026.2.25 to 2026.10.19. Earlier versions still trust the removed emSign CA.

• Release 0.6.0 is yanked. pip skips them by default and ada shows a deprecation notice that points to 0.6.1.

• Upgrade with ada upgrade, or re-run the installer with VERSION=0.6.1.

• Also upgrade pip to 26.2.2 or higher and uv to 0.13.4 or higher. Older versions keep trusting the removed CA regardless of the system trust store.

4. Compatibility

No CLI changes. See the v0.6.0 page for the 0.6 changes.
