2. Summary

Release 0.5.8 is a security patch for 0.5.7. It updates the bundled certifi CA bundle after the emSign root CA was removed because of a CA private-key compromise (see more details). It has no functional changes, so teams that stay on the 0.5 line can fix this without moving to 0.6.

3. Security

• certifi is updated from 2026.2.25 to 2026.10.19. Earlier versions still trust the removed emSign CA.

• Release 0.5.7 is yanked in the package index. pip skips it by default, so ada-cli<0.6 now resolves to 0.5.8. 0.5.7 itself shows no deprecation notice.

• Upgrade by re-running the installer with the version pinned, which installs ada-cli==0.5.8 from the tenant index, for example curl -fsSL https://artifacts.saas.agiledataengine.com/install.sh | VERSION=0.5.8 bash. Then run ada upgrade to sync skills and agents.

• Also upgrade pip to 26.2.2 or higher and uv to 0.13.4 or higher. Older versions keep trusting the removed CA regardless of the system trust store.

4. Compatibility

No CLI commands were removed or renamed. There are no changes to ada plan, sync or the API client compared with 0.5.7.
